page-elements_headerPainting and Pints is the brainchild of local artist Paula Bertollo. She wanted to show anyone that anyone can paint, they just need the right environment, and instructor. At a Painting and Pints evening, in a little over 3 hours, you receive personal instruction in small classes, hosted at a local venue. This session was hosted at beautiful Conquistador’s on Upper Wellington. While you paint you enjoy a few pints, casual conversation, music, food, and you leave with a beautiful watercolour of your own creation. When we first walked into Conquistador’s, we were overwhelmed by the delicious aroma that wafted in from the kitchen, and were welcomed by friendly service, and beautiful decor. We decided to try our hand at painting, and we were really impressed with how well the class was run! The class is for beginners, and everyone paints the same painting. This week it was a fall themed painting of birch trees.

Paula walks everyone through set by step, taking each student from a basic pencil sketch, through all the painting techniques until the finished product!
