“Hamilton-Burlington-Haldimand-Niagara North Region Housing Statistics”

“Explore the dynamic real estate market of Hamilton-Burlington, one of Ontario’s most sought-after regions. From the vibrant urban centers to the scenic waterfront communities, our comprehensive statistics provide valuable insights into this diverse and evolving market”
“In September 2026, 1,171 home sales were recorded through the Multiple Listing Service® (MLS®) System of the Cornerstone Association of REALTORS® (Cornerstone), an 8.2 per cent decline from August and a 17.8 per cent decrease compared with the same period last year.
‘September brought a significant jump in new listings across Cornerstone’s market areas compared with August, although new listings remained 18.8 per cent lower than the same period last year,’ said Bill Duce, CEO of Cornerstone. ‘Sales also continued to pull back, down 17.8 per cent compared to this time last year. At the same time, benchmark prices remained relatively steady month-over-month, while the months’ supply was unchanged from this time last year. Together, these indicators point to a market that is adjusting rather than moving uniformly in one direction. Conditions vary from one community to the next, which is why it’s important to work with a local REALTOR® who can help paint a clear picture of what is happening in your specific market.’
The HPI composite benchmark was fairly consistent month-over-month. On a year-over-year basis, each major Cornerstone recorded declines ranging from 3.4 per cent to 6.4 per cent.
